Week Two

I have finished Apple Turnover Murder!  That was a really fast read.  This book is like one of those books you read by the pool or on a plane.

Once the murder occured, I did try and predict "who done it".  The author does try and pick up the speed toward the end of the book.  Just as you believe that you had solved the murder, the author puts in another twist which emliminates the person you think.

The author also ends the book with a twist, so you want to get the next book in the series.  Based on the ending of this book, you will want to see who the mystery person that Hannah's boyfriend (sort-of) brought to dinner.

The recipe that our family decided to make where the Watermelon Cookies ( which are really Kool Aid Cookies), very easy and can be adapted to any flavor you wish.  We did not have any Kool Aid, so when we purchased, we picked lime (hoping the color was not a staining type).

This book also includes a "Good Doggy Cake" recipe, which I found amusing and not sure anyone would really prepare the cake.
