The Carrie Diaries begins with Carrie in high school and how her interest in writing becomes a goal. The author also begins to develop the strong friend relationships that Carrie is known for in the tv series.
Since it has been some time since I have been in high school, I find some of the story line amusing and it has actually made me laugh and comment out loud.
I am not sure how the book turns into two, but we will see. I have only made it to Chapter Twenty, but that is half way - so we will see.
