I have finished the first book in The Carrie Diaries. While I understand this is more of a coming of age book, it was interesting to see how Carrie arrives in New York City and on the last page the character Samantha is introduced. My hope is that the next book is more interesting to read.
The senior year depicted in the book was very typical of what you may think. This book does set the stage for the reader to understand how Carrie develops her relationships and the importance of writing in her life.
